Community in Mourning After Fatal Motorcycle Crash Claims Life of 35-Year-Old Jared Furlow on St. Michael Drive

At approximately 9:20 this morning, emergency responders were dispatched to a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on St. Michael Drive, just east of the Pavilion Parkway underpass. When officers and medical personnel arrived, they located the rider, 35-year-old Jared Furlow, who tragically succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Despite the rapid response of first responders, Jared’s life could not be saved. In a matter of moments, a routine morning ride ended in irreversible loss, leaving behind heartbreak, unanswered questions, and a grieving community.

The Texarkana Police Department has confirmed that traffic investigators are actively working to determine what led to the crash. At this time, all circumstances remain under investigation, and officials have not released further details.

This marks the second motorcycle fatality in our community within just two weeks—a painful and sobering reminder of how quickly lives can be taken on our roadways. Authorities are urgently reminding all drivers and riders that safety is not optional. Every second of attention, every decision behind the wheel or handlebars, matters.
