SUMMIT TOWNSHIP, Pa. — In loving memory of Glen Dalton Jr., whose life was tragically lost in a devastating motorcycle crash Sunday evening in Butler County, a heartbreaking incident that also left his passenger seriously injured and the community mourning a sudden and painful loss.
The fatal crash occurred at the intersection of Chicora Road and State Route 422 in Summit Township, where authorities say Dalton was operating a motorcycle traveling southbound on Chicora Road. According to investigators, he attempted to make a left-hand turn onto the on-ramp of State Route 422 in order to head west when the collision took place.
At the same time, another vehicle continued straight through the intersection and struck the motorcycle in the middle of the roadway. The impact was severe, leaving emergency responders with a tragic scene upon arrival.
Glen Dalton Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of the crash. His passenger, whose identity has not been released, sustained what authorities believe to be serious injuries and was airlifted to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment.
