41-Year-Old Travis Replogle Killed in Early Morning Pedestrian Crash on Pleasant Valley Boulevard in Blair County

A tragic pedestrian crash in Blair County has claimed the life of 41-year-old Travis Replogle of Altoona, leaving the community in mourning as authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the fatal crash occurred early Tuesday morning along Pleasant Valley Boulevard in Antis Township. Emergency dispatchers received reports of the incident just after 6:00 a.m., prompting a swift response from troopers and local emergency personnel.

Preliminary findings indicate that Travis Replogle was walking northbound along the west shoulder of Route 220 when he was struck by a Jeep Grand Cherokee traveling in the southbound lane. The impact resulted in severe injuries, and despite the response of emergency crews, Replogle was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Jeep remained at the scene and was not injured in the crash, according to investigators. Authorities have not indicated any immediate signs of impairment or wrongdoing, and the investigation remains ongoing as troopers work to determine the exact sequence of events that led to the collision.

The Blair County Coroner’s Office was called to the scene as part of standard procedure in fatal incidents. The crash also caused significant disruption to morning traffic, with a section of Pleasant Valley Boulevard shut down for several hours. According to PennDOT, all lanes in the area between Rossi Drive/Tipton Road and the exit to I-99/US-220 were closed while investigators processed the scene. The roadway has since been reopened.
