SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – It is with deep sorrow that we remember 64-year-old David Wayne Bunn of Gaffney, who lost his life in a tragic late-night shooting at a Spartanburg County bar that also left two others injured and has since sparked an ongoing criminal investigation.
According to the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched around 2 a.m. Sunday to reports of a shooting involving multiple people at the Pregame Lounge on South Blackstock Road. When law enforcement arrived, they encountered a chaotic and disturbing scene involving multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office later confirmed that one of the deceased victims was 64-year-old David Wayne Bunn of Gaffney. Officials stated that Bunn was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of his injuries sustained during the shooting.
Two additional individuals were also injured during the incident. One victim was transported to a local hospital in serious condition; however, officials have not released any updates regarding their current status. The third victim sustained minor injuries and is expected to recover.
Authorities have not announced any arrests in connection with the shooting, and no suspect descriptions have been publicly released at this time. Investigators with the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office continue to actively pursue leads, conduct witness interviews, and examine available surveillance footage in an effort to determine what led to the deadly violence.
The early-morning tragedy has left the community in shock, as friends, family, and residents struggle to come to terms with the sudden loss of life and the violence that unfolded inside the establishment.
