The Kershaw County community is grieving the heartbreaking loss of 13-year-old Cannon Turner, who tragically died following an ATV accident on Monday evening in Ridgeway.
According to Kershaw County Coroner David West, the crash occurred in a wooded area along Buck Hill Road. Emergency dispatchers received calls about the incident at approximately 7:15 p.m., prompting a rapid response from first responders. Upon arrival, crews found Cannon at the scene, but despite their efforts, he was pronounced deceased.
Cannon Turner was a student at Lugoff-Elgin Middle School, where he was known for his bright personality and positive spirit.
